MÁK x Simon Iddol

We started working on this months ago, and I’m so excited that from Monday, you guys can finally see it—and I can actually talk about it, since it’s been top secret until now!

MÁK is an absolute staple in Hungarian fine dining. Michelin Young Chef award winner Jani Mizsei isn't just running the kitchen anymore; he's officially put his name on the restaurant. The concept for MÁK by mizseijani is simple: we're going over to Jani's place as guests. The whole guest experience and the space itself are totally built around his personality.

It’s a massive honor that they trusted me with the visual side of this transformation. They didn’t just buy a few pictures for decoration—this is the start of a two-year collab. I created exclusive paintings for the space, redesigned the logo and the menu, and my work will be popping up on their social media, too.

I’ve been dying for you guys to see the artwork and the whole space. Go visit Jani and be his guest, you’re going to eat and drink some insanely special things.

Of course, the prints were done by Pigmenta, the canvas-textured sticker series on the mirrors is all thanks to Quarts, and the installation was handled by Balázs Deák. These dreamy photos were taken by Viktória Labancz at Monday’s press event.

Huge thanks to Károly Gerendai, Gábor Koltai, János Mizsei, and everyone who helped bring this to life, for their trust and for this unique opportunity!
